Sababou Education Fund hosted International Women's Day Market, along with Monroe Arts Center and MultiCultural Outreach Program on March 5th, 2022 in Monroe, WI.

We had a great turnout, receiving donations for some of our Sababou merchandise like T-shirts from last year's Courir for a Cause, masks, totes, and trinkets that our founders brought back from their last trip to Burkina Faso.

One of our founders, Ellie, also MC'd the presentation, sharing some information about how we celebrate International Women's Day in Burkina Faso each year. Find some photos of the event below! If you are local to Monroe, we hope to see you at next year's International Women's Day Market!

Ellie was able to hand out awards to several Exemplar Women in Leadership. These women have a huge impact on the community of Green County by their leadership and motivation. They each have truly inspiring stories!

Our founder's son, Hliiko, manning the Sababou Education Fund Booth during the event. He was so helpful answering questions about Burkina Faso and talking about life and school there, as he has first hand knowledge!

The Market!

We had a variety of vendors that sold their wonderful wares! From handmade aprons, mexican bread and treats, beautiful Indian fabrics, locally sourced wool, to everything in between!
